Join us for a special, restorative Yin Yoga class on Sunday, August 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Yin Yoga by nature is not considered a restorative yoga. Even though they are similar in the time postures are held, restorative yoga includes the uses of props like bolsters and blocks so you can completely relax.

This 90 Minute Restorative Yin class is designed to use bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps to help relax, calm and reset your entire body.

Yin yoga is a passive practice that involves the stretching of the fascia (connective tissue) which runs all the way from the bottom of your feet to the top of your scalp enveloping the entire body. The primary connective tissues include the hips, thighs and lower back. There are many benefits to this passive practice on its own. However, once we add some blocks, bolsters and straps we are taking it to another level, hence restorative yin yoga. In this class you will experience

  • Relaxation
  • Stress and anxiety reduction
  • Improved joint flexibility
  • Increasing energy
  • Helps improve circulation

You will be able to completely relax all our muscles and release stored tension in the body. If you have never tried Yin yoga or any yoga, this is a great class to start with. Please bring a mat, water and if you have your own blanket or bolster. We have these items available at the studio as well if needed. Sign up Here
