How it Works

Our families working together as a buying group, are able to eat well and save money on  grocery bills. On top of that we are supporting sustainable farming here in Florida, help the environment and enjoy super fresh produce at a wholesale discounted value.

  • NO monthly box, pre-selected produce
  • NO minimum order fee.
  • Order a-la-cart online over the weekend
  • Pickup up your fresh delivered produce  Tuesday afternoon 4-7 pm.

Just a note, sometimes we are not able to get everything we wish for – hence we are a buying group and not a grocery store.

Order/Pickup Times

We are a BUYING GROUP

That is different than a grocery store

Please be sure that you want the produce that you order. When you reject an order, everyone else in the group is paying for it.

Over 80 Organic Items

We carry a lot of items, from cucumber, celery and everyday regular produce to sometime exotic fruit, depending on the season and availability. Firstly we will source from Florida farms, before ordering from somewhere else. However with the heat of the summer the growing season moves North. We also carry specialty items such as locally grown sprouts, Wheatgrass, artisian soaps and more.

100% Organic

Fruits and vegetables are the cornerstones of a healthy diet.
Eating organic produce is basically eating food the way food it was grown prior to World War I and chemical industries emerging as a profit center in the 1920’s.  Today, organic produce is grown the old-fashioned way – without chemicals: no pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or fungicides. Animals are raised without antibiotics, hormones, or other drugs.

Need more reason?

Simply put: Organic produce tastes better. When was the last time your tomatoes actually tasted like tomatoes? With better tasting produce you are most likely to eat more nutritionally dense foods. Especially if you have kids, who’s development is influenced by nutrition, they are much more likely to have a reaction to conventional produce that is laden with chemicals. If  your child has any food allergies or other symptoms that children didn’t have fifty years ago, give organic food a try and see what happens.

Food for Thought

Why spend the money on Organic?

Would you think that your body and health are precious and deserve only the best?  Many fast foods are devoid of nutrients and filled with processed fillers using synthetic flavors and basically equate to ”Garbage in, garbage out”.

Not convinced?

Chew on this. Dow Chemical, the same company that brought us Dursban, Napalm, and Agent Orange, is now in the food business and received an unprecedented government approval:  genetically engineered (GE) versions of corn, soybeans and cotton that are designed to survive repeated dousing with 2,4-D, half of the highly toxic chemical mixture Agent Orange. Just one of the latest chemicals used on conventionally grown produce.

Buying Guide

Wholesale vs. Retail
First of, please keep in mind that we are a buying group purchasing directly from a wholesaler, not a retail store. That means that we will be receiving cases of produce that came directly from the farm to the distributor (wholesaler) to us. In this case, produce is not hand selected like you would find in a retail store so one apple, onion, tomato etc may not be as nice as another. We will do our best upon arrival of the produce to check each case for quality and freshness. There might be some imperfections or inconsistencies, however you will still benefit from purchasing organic produce at wholesale prices.

Managing produce orders
We will try to fill your order exactly, however mother nature can change her mind at any time and weather conditions and factors can affect the inventory that we actually receive vs. what was ordered.  At times the wholesaler may offer us an alternative product and there could be a slight variation in price but as long as the product fits the needs we will go ahead and order (for example Fuji vs. Gala  apples or kale vs. chard, or collards).

Pricing
The wholesalers pricing changes DAILY. We receive the wholesalers the day before delivery and the wholesaler adjusts the pricing at the time the order is assembled. That means we may have to adjust pricing after you have already ordered. Sometimes this can work out in our favor, in a reduction in price, other times it could mean an increase. Sometimes the wholesaler will not have an item in inventory that was there the week before, it all is based on growing cycles and areas.
